Hybrid Servers vs. Dedicated Servers

What are dedicated servers?

If a client requires all the physical server’s resources at their disposal a dedicated server is suitable to host such clients. This is due to the server being able to lease an isolated server environment in which all the server resource is allocated to the client and the client only.

The server is able to run long-running services with high volume traffic websites, e-commerce platforms and applications better due to its high performance, email stability ,control and security. In turn, virtualization is not included in the server.

What are hybrid servers?

As technology advances day by day, a new kind of virtual server is born. The server contains both the power of the dedicated server and the flexibility of cloud computing hence its name “Hybrid Server”. The hardware used in running the server is shared among the user. The hybrid server environment is securely isolated and equipped with the process of the virtual instance of the IT service using the resources bound by the hardware thus being able to guarantee a set of resources available.

Furthermore, a large hybrid server is capable of splitting into pieces to produce many more hybrid servers. In hindsight, this platform benefits the administrators when  monitoring, delivering, and managing hosting websites, e-commerce applications, file storing, and databases.

DIfference between Hybrid Server and Dedicated Server

The dedicated server focuses on raw server power and control. This is mainly due to the fact that a dedicated server contains a single server which hosts dedicatedly to one client. Which equates to everything in the server is at the client’s disposal as there is no involvement with any other clients.

While the hybrid server is able to manage extensive resources compared to the traditional one due to virtualization. This causes its capabilities to be focused on performance and flexibility. Hybrid is widely known for its ability to cater more towards databases, application tools, management tools etc.

Hybrid Servers vs. Dedicated Servers

With the two servers being shown we have their merits and demerits  and they even have overlapping capabilities. A dedicated server is the better choice if you are not planning for long-term services on your websites. While hybrid server provides a wider spectrum.

As hybrid server raw server power may not be more than dedicated server due the former being a virtualized platform while the latter being a physical platform, as such it provides flexibility and utility. In addition, it provides the utmost resources available at a lower cost.
